Billaud-Simon

Pure Chablis, True Terroir

Quality in Focus

With roots stretching back over two centuries, Billaud-Simon holds a natural place in Chablis’ winemaking tradition. The story began in 1815, when Charles Louis Billaud laid the foundation for what is today one of the region’s most esteemed producers. Through a family bond strengthened in the early 20th century, the present Domaine was formed when Jean Billaud carried the legacy forward by marrying Renée Simon. During the 20th century, Billaud-Simon grew into one of Chablis’ most respected estates, particularly under the leadership of Bernard Billaud, who helped refine and position the Domaine among the foremost traditional producers of the region.

A new era began in 2014, when the renowned Burgundy house Domaine Faiveley became a co-owner. Through extensive investments, including the modernization of the winery, quality has taken a clear step forward – with the aim of placing Billaud-Simon at the very top tier of white wine producers, both in Chablis and internationally. Today, Billaud-Simon stands as a symbol of craftsmanship, history, and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.
