Saint-Réol

Sparkling Elegance, Timeless Delight!

Saint-Réol is a cooperative that was founded in 1962 by 58 winegrowers in the Grand Cru classified village of Ambonnay. Today, it has grown to over 230 members representing some of the region's finest vineyards. The cooperative harvests and vinifies grapes exclusively from Grand Cru plots, and sells the wines to several renowned Champagne houses such as Dom Pérignon, Perrier-Jouët, Laurent-Perrier, Mumm, Deutz, and Pol Roger.Five percent of the grapes are used for wines under the name Saint-Réol, with an annual production of 80,000 to 100,000 bottles, focusing on high quality rather than volume. Members of Saint-Réol are encouraged to work according to HVE methods (Haute Valeur Environnementale), which means there is a strong environmental awareness in the vineyard work.Ambonnay is one of the 17 villages classified as Grand Cru in Champagne. It is one of the largest with 380 hectares of vineyards, of which 84 percent is planted with Pinot Noir and the rest with Chardonnay. The finest vineyard plots are located in a southeast exposure, between 150 and 180 meters above sea level. The village is most renowned for its very high-quality and elegant Pinot Noir wines, but the Chardonnay wines also maintain a very high level of quality.
